Conversations on the forefront of organic farming: community building stimulated via panel discussions with organic agriculture and food system industry leaders/experts, across a diversity of fields. These sessions will be 3-hour evening events, combined with food. Topics will include, but are not limited to:

●      Securing land in Hawaiʻi

●      Financing options for purchasing land and capitalizing your farm

●      Roots of Hawaiʻi organic food production, voices of our elders

●      Demystifying organic certification (ideally with CCOF involved)

●      Applying for Organic Certifications (including compliance)

●      Design and planning your organic farm

●      Selling organic fruits and veggies

●      Lōkahi Organic Farming Certification– developing innovative approaches to workforce training and placement

●      Indigenous practices and certified organic food production - integrated concepts and culture from native Hawaiians and other indigenous peoples. Introduction to Hua Parakore Indigenous Organic Agriculture an established organization that acknowledges the importance of indigenous knowledge and practices.
