1. Program Overview

By opting in to MAʻO Organic Farms text messages, you agree to receive program-related SMS messages at the mobile number you provide. Messages may concern your application, selection process, onboarding, reminders, deadlines, scheduling, program updates, and participation. MAʻO’s text messaging program is not used for third-party marketing or solicitation.

Consent to receive text messages is optional and is not required to apply to or participate in a MAʻO program. Email remains MAʻO’s primary communication channel.

2. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on the program cycle, your application or participation status, upcoming deadlines, and whether you reply with a question.

3. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Charges are determined by your mobile carrier and service plan.

4. Opting Out

You may unsubscribe at any time by replying STOP to a MAʻO text message or by texting STOP to (833) 706-5669. You may receive one confirmation message after opting out. No further program text messages will be sent unless you opt in again. When supported, you may text START to rejoin.

Opting out of text messages does not withdraw your application or affect program participation. MAʻO may continue to contact you through email or a staff phone call when appropriate.

6. Mobile Number Responsibility

By opting in, you confirm that you are authorized to use the mobile number provided. Please notify MAʻO if your number changes. MAʻO is not responsible for messages delivered to a reassigned or incorrectly entered number.

7. Carrier Disclaimer

Wireless carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery may be affected by your carrier, device, service availability, or other circumstances outside MAʻO’s control.

8. Privacy

MAʻO handles information connected with this text messaging program as described in the MAʻO SMS Privacy Policy, available at maoorganicfarms.org/sms-privacy.

9. Changes or Discontinuation

MAʻO may update these terms or modify, suspend, or discontinue the text messaging program. Updated terms will be posted with a revised effective date.
